# Basic Token Creation

To create a token in PooChain Ecosystem (poo.fun + LaunchLab), follow these steps:

1. Access launchpad: Visit poo.fun, navigate to the Create a Token Now button and click.
2. Enter Token Details:
   * Provide the Name and Ticker for your token.
   * Optionally, include a brief Description to provide context for your token.
3. Upload Media:
   * Add a square image or GIF (minimum resolution: 128x128 pixels; maximum file size: 5MB).
   * Optionally, select "Socials & More" to include links to social media profiles or a website for enhanced visibility.
4. Authorize and Create:
   * Click "Sign-in to Create Token" to sign a message with your wallet, verifying it as the token’s creator.
   * Click "Create Token" to proceed.
5. Optional Initial Buy:
   * Upon clicking "Create Token", a pop-up will prompt you to perform an initial purchase of your token. This step is optional but recommended to deter snipers and secure the first buy.
   * Click "Confirm" to complete the process.
6. Token Launch: Once confirmed, your token will be live and tradeable on PooChain's bonding curve and the token will be tradeable on poo.fun and LaunchLab.
7. Graduation to CPMM Pool: Your token will automatically transition to a Raydium Constant Product Market Maker (CPMM) pool once the bonding curve reaches 85 SOL.

Pro Tip: After launching, use the "Share" button on your token’s page to generate a referral link. You can earn referral fees from trading activity initiated through your link.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.poochain.co/interacting-with-poochain/basic-token-creation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
